Prevent Child Abuse America

PCAA-Logo_2C.png

For 45 years, Prevent Child Abuse America has helped lay the groundwork to deliver great childhoods to children nationwide. Since 1982, the sisters of Sigma Delta Tau have played a vital role in helping them achieve their mission and vision of a world in which no child is ever abused or neglected.

The Delta Omicron Chapter hosts "Games for Good" every spring semester as our annual philanthropy event to benefit PCAA. "Games for Good" is a casino night that brings together the Kent State community to promote happy childhoods because a safe childhood shouldn’t be a gamble.

Jewish Women International

Sigma Delta Tau supports the mission of Jewish Women International (JWI): to make certain that all girls and women have the fundamental right to live in a safe home, thrive in healthy relationships and realize the full potential of their personal strength.

JWI  works to ensure that all women and girls thrive in healthy relationships, control their financial futures and realize the full potential of their personal strength. JWI is a leading women’s organization empowering women and girls of all backgrounds through economic literacy, community training, healthy relationships, and leadership training.

The Delta Omicron Chapters hosts The GrΣΔΤest Man as our annual fall philanthropy event each year to benefit JWI, spread awareness of domestic violence and promote healthy relationships. The GrΣΔΤest Man is A night of festivities, relay races, and a male beauty pagent to find Sigma Delta Tau’s next GRΣΔΤEST Man!

The Children's Advocacy Center of Portage County

During the spring 2019 semester, our chapter felt a need to deepen our connection to the community around us through philanthropic work, so we decided to adopt a local philanthropy. We chose the Children’s Advocacy Center of Portage County because of how closely their mission aligns with our national philanthropic partners and our values.

The Center works to improve the community's response to child abuse and neglect, and lessen the negative impact of abuse on children. Our chapter holds fundraising events each semester to benefit the Center and partners with them on various service opportunities through the year.

The Sigma Delta Tau Foundation

The Sigma Delta Tau Foundation is a non-profit entity that raises funds for scholarship grants as well as educational and leadership programming exclusively for sisters of Sigma Delta Tau. As a chapter we hold various fundraising events throughout the year to contribute this foundation, such as our sister-to-sister auction, candle fundraiser, and dine-to-donates.
